I was born and brought up in India. Being born and brought up in a family of physicians, I inherited a love and passion for Medicine. Even as a child and a teen, I didn’t consider alternate career’s other than being a doctor. My inquisitiveness for medicine lead me to pursue medical school in India. I have come to United States as I decided to further expand my knowledge base and keep improving as a doctor.

In the most technologically advanced country and among the most skilled physicians, I completed my internal medicine residency at UAB, Montgomery in 2010. Since then, I have practiced as a hospitalist for 8 years.

During all these years of practice, I developed an affinity towards Emergency Medicine. I found it to be challenging and most rewarding and was looking for opportunities to pursue my goal. After interviewing, I found Alteon Health/IMM Emergency medicine fellowship program to be most promising in training me towards my goal. I am looking forward to an exciting year.

I have a beautiful family which includes my husband and 2 sons (aged 5 and 9). Other than spending time with family, I enjoy reading, traveling and shopping. I continue to enjoy every aspect of medicine that helps to provide better care for the patients.
